In 2017, my family began a journey that eventually led to my Dad receiving a Parkinson’s and Parkinson’s dementia diagnosis. As our journey continues, this felt like the right time to do something special. Both concerts will be raising money directly for the Michael J Fox Foundation, a leader in Parkinson’s research.

There are no tickets required for this event. Instead, donations will be taken and encouraged at each performance. Your gift, in any amount, will help make these events extra special and support the tremendous work of the Michael J. Fox Foundation. All donations are tax deductible.

Join me and several fantastic performers as we celebrate family, connections, and that which roots us through pop, jazz, and Broadway favorites. The magnificent Joey Clark returns as Music Director for both events.

Why the Michael J. Fox Foundation?

Many organizations are doing fantastic work in support of Parkinson's, but MJFF is dedicated to research. Like most neurological diseases, Parkinson's is ultimately diagnosed after a process of elimination. The more that can happen to achieve a quicker diagnosis, the more options exist for those who are diagnosed to live a fuller and longer life. I am lucky to have many friends in the medical field and when consulting them on the organizations that they feel are making an impact on the field, all of them pointed me in this direction. Also, as I've gone along on this journey, I've heard overwhelmingly positive stories from other families and those living with Parkinson's about their relationship to the Foundation. Finally, they make it so easy to fundraise and support their organization. The producer and business side of me deeply appreciates that as I prepare for these events.

How can I learn more about Parkinson's?

How kind of you to ask! There is a great deal of literature out there if you smash that google search, but if reading isn't your thing, I have found a couple of documentaries to be particularly helpful. Both are beautifully made and provide very personal stories and a candid reflection of the impact of Parkinson's, not only on the person who has it, but their families, as well. I encourage a watch!
